Today I am here with a diy background card with pattern paper of Owl always love you paper pack.

I have made a COMPLETE STEP BY STEP VIDEO TUTORIAL WITH VOICE OVER along with the COMPLETE LIST OF SUPPLIES IN its description box..so don't forget to check it out!

  • For this card, I am using the beautiful heart filled stripes pattern paper and team it up with the sentiment tile from the same paper pack.
  • As I wanted to create a background of my own, I will cut this paper into thin stripes so that each stripe has the compete design.
  • I am using a paper trimmer to cut it as it's more precise, neat and fast.
  • I will cut the stripes as closely as possible and try to get the complete deisgn of each strip.
  • If you don't have a timmer you can simply cut it with a ruler and xacto knife or a scissors.
  • Once all stripes are cut out, place them on white cardstock as per your liking.
  • Cut out the sentiment tile and stick it on the white cardstock so that it doesn't merge into the background and pops up.
  • Adhere all the stripes in position with the tape and later trim off the excess.
  • Foam mount the sentiment on the stripes background and your Valentine card is ready!

Hope you loved another quick and super easy diy Valentine's day card.

Let's have a step by step look at how I created them! Its complete video will also be uploaded soon next week..just some editing left :)  For all the birdhouses, I have primed them with 2 layers of gesso. Paint the base with white chalk/acrylic paint. Let it dry. Put a layer of 1 step crackle medium from Itsy Bitsy.  Apply thick layer for thicker cracks and thin layer for thinner cracks. Let it dry naturally. You can dry it with a heat tool as well but natural drying gives your project better cracks. I have used crackle mediums of many companies but I personally feel that the 1 step crac

Use Lemon yellow ink through the Rays stencil by Kaisercraft. (If you do not have a Ray's stencil then just place the masking tape on the cardstock with a one finger gap between each ray and thus you can create the stencil also)
