As I wanted to create a background of my own, I will cut this paper into thin stripes so that each stripe has the compete design. I wanted the edges to be soft and not pointed, so I rounded all edges of all cut outs with the corner rounder.If you don't have one, you can let the cut outs be as it is. By mistake I ruined this sentiment while trimming it with the round...

Cut out a small portion of it just to cover the bottom part of the white cardstock. Once u feel that it's cut enough to cover the area, stock it on the base with double sided adhesive tape..be careful while using this tape as it's not forgiving at all and there is usually no chance of removing it and repositioning it.
