Hello crafty friends!
Devika here and today I will share how to create your own stencil and make a card using it!

You can also follow me on these social media accounts:

Dreamy Sky
  • Take a white cardstock.
  • Make a cloud stencil with the masking sheet.
  • Just draw the cloud edges with a pencil on a masking sheet.
  • Cut the sheet along the edges and you will get your own "Cloud stencil."

  • Now use Sapphire blue ink along the "clouds stencil" and cover the whole background with it.

  • Use Lemon yellow ink through the Rays stencil by Kaisercraft. (If you do not have a Ray's stencil then just place the masking tape on the cardstock with a one finger gap between each ray and thus you can create the stencil also)

  • Stamp the images and the sentiment from the "Lift up Balloon" stamp set using Black Archival Ink, fussy cut them and colour them.
  • I have used different coloured distress inks with water and coloured the floral bouquet and the ship.

Embossing, Stamping on vellum sheets

Hello crafty people! :D
Devika here and today I will share the embossing technique on Vellum sheets.

You can also follow me on these social media accounts:

Petaly petals

  • Prep the blue coloured Vellum sheet with Anti-Static powder.
(This will prevent the embossing powder from sticking to the unwanted areas)
  • Dab the floral stamp from the "Floral Peonies" stamp set with the Versamark watermark ink pad.
  • Stamp it on the vellum sheet.

•Heat emboss it with a contrasting coloured embossing powder.
I have used Buttercup embossing powder by Ranger.

  • Repeat the same steps with a deep yellow coloured vellum sheet and Blue embossing powder.
  • Fussy cut all the flowers and adhere them on a white coloured card stock of 300 GSM.
  • As the vellum sheet is translucent, the glue will show through it.
Therefore I have used double sided adhesive tape of the smallest size and put it only on the 2 ends of each flower, one at the top and one at the bottom.

•Stamp the sentiments from the same stamp set and heat emboss it too with the Blue embossing powder or you can simply stamp it with any blue ink pad.

And your card is ready! :D

Hope you liked today's project.
Thanks for stopping by!

The Buddha name plate: 2 Step crackle + Resin technique

  • Hello crafty people! :D
Devika here and today I will my favourite project till now..the 2step crackle name plate. This post will help you to get lovely cracks on your project.

  • Paint the base with white chalk/acrylic. Let it dry.
  • Remove 2 layers of the napkin and use the top most layer.
  • Tear the relevant Buddha and floral design with water and paint brush.

  • Apply a thin layer of mod podge at the base and put the napkin on top. (If you are a beginner, then please do this step with a small portion at a time)

  • Dab it with a dry sponge  and use the plastic wrap to remove the air bubbles.
  • Put a thin layer of mod podge on top of the design.
  • When the mod podge dries, sand the excess napkin (with #80 no sandpaper).

  • Put one last layer of mod podge.
  • Apply the base coat of Itsy Bitsy’s 2 step crackle medium on the area of the name plate which isn’t decoupaged.

  • Let it dry completely naturally.
  • When dry, put the top coat of the crackle medium. Let it dry naturally.

  • Cracks will appear when it dries.

  • Highlight the cracks with Home decor Antique Wax, covering very small portions at a time.
  • Remove the excess wax at the same time with a paper towel or else it will settle and wont come out later! THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT STEP.

  • Paint the alphabets with black chalk/acrylic paint and adhere them with Monte marte glue.
  • Mix Itsy Bitsy resin and hardener in the proportion as mentioned on the pack i.e. 1:1 ratio and put it on the complete name plate.
  • Let it cure overnight and you have a waterproof outdoor name plate ready!!
Hope you all loved it! Please do like, share and comment below! Till we meet next time, happy crafting.
