MIRROR SNAIL

  • Take a piece of Craftyscrappers Premium Cardstock (White).
  • Die cut the Mason jar image or simply draw the Mason jar and fussy cut it.
  • Sprintz the cardstock with a little bit of water and spray the Shimmer Sprays, Tickled Cheeks at the top and Dancing Peacock at the bottom ..I Just love these sprays..the shimmer is just enough to give your project a subtle yet shimmery look.

  • Place the snail stamp from the Craftyscrappers- Snail mail for you stamp set on a piece of acetate sheet with the stamping side up.
  • Cover it with any black coloured Dye ink pad..do not use archival ink, it didn't work for me at all!
  • Place the stamp from the "Mirror-Mirror" stamp set on an acrylic stamping block and press it firmly on the black inked stamp image. (Make sure that the Mirror stamp is free from dust and foreign particles)

  • You will get a Mirror image of the Snail image on your Mirror- Mirror stamp piece.
  • Take this mirror image and simply stamp it onto a piece of White card stock...It's magic!
I mirror stamped the mail stamp also.
  • Fussy cut and colour the images with distress inks, Shaded lilac and Fossiled Amber.
  • Take another piece of folded 270-300 GSM cardstock.
  • Place your shaker acetate sheet below the Mason jar cut out cardstock, fill it up with the beautiful shaker elements from Craftyscrappers: It's a boy, Petal flowers, Fern flowers and also the mirror images of the Mail stamp!

  • Foam mount all the pieces.
  • Stamp the sentiment using Ranger Black Archival ink and your Mirror card is ready!

Thanks for stopping by for the Mirror fun :D

Hope this post inspires you to create your own Mirror themed project! :)

Loads of crafty love,
Devika.

This time on my trip to the Itsy Bitsy store, I saw these amazing birdhouses in all sizes and amazing designs..I just couldn't control myself and ended up buying tons of these..they are just too adorable and pretty!! Let's have a step by step look at how I created them! Its complete video will also be uploaded soon next week..just some editing left :)  For all the birdhouses, I have primed them with 2 layers of gesso. Paint the base with white chalk/acrylic paint. Let it dry. Put a layer of 1 step crackle medium from Itsy Bitsy.  Apply thick layer for thicker cracks and thin layer for thinner cracks. Let it dry naturally. You can dry it with a heat tool as well but natural drying gives your project better cracks. I have used crackle mediums of many companies but I personally feel that the 1 step crac

RULES MENTIONED AT THE END OF THE POST Dreamy Sky  Take a white cardstock. Make a cloud stencil with the masking sheet. Just draw the cloud edges with a pencil on a masking sheet. Cut the sheet along the edges and you will get your own "Cloud stencil."  Now use Sapphire blue ink along the "clouds stencil" and cover the whole background with it. Use Lemon yellow ink through the Rays stencil by Kaisercraft. (If you do not have a Ray's stencil then just place the masking tape on the cardstock with a one finger gap between each ray and thus you can create the stencil also)
