Maa Durga Tlight holder- Mixed media

Today I am ok Craftyscrappers blog with a mixed media Tlight holder dedicated to Maa Durga.

Let's get started!!

1. Prime the mdf base with 2 thin layers of gesso.
2. Paint the surface starting with Hazy Cucumber Chalk paint at the top, Surfing Bay chalk paint in the middle and Icy Marine paint at the bottom with a sponge dabber.
These chalk paints have a very nice consistency and easy to apply.
3. Stamp the images from the Durga Stamp set with Black archival ink, colour it with distress inks and fussy cut the images.
4. Using the Spiral burst stencil, apply the Chocolate Shimmer paste through it.
5. Foam mount the Durga image in the middle of the stencil.
6. Stick the other coloured images on the opposite sides of the tlight holder with double adhesive tape.
7. Stamp the sentiments on the fourth side of the holder and also on the top using the Black archival ink.
8. Seal the project with a layer of varnish and the pretty tlight holder is ready to be added in your Puja room :)

Namaste crafters! It's December..so it's all about Christmas! Today I am on Craftyscrappers blog showing how to create shimmery, christmas-y tree ornaments with the newly launched shimmer pastes. Take the mdf cut outs of the ornaments. For the Xmas tree I applied the Christmas tree shimmer paste with my finger and applied the Granular paste just at the edges to give me snow effect...this granular paste has to perfect snowy consistency and looks very pretty. Similarly I applied Jungle bells shimmer paste on the star ornament, stamped, coloured and fussy cut the reindeer from "let it snow" stamp set and foam mounted it in the middle. For the stocking, I applied Poinsettle shimmer paste and sprinkled Summer mango and It's a boy sequins on it while it was wet and lightly dabbed it so that it gets embedded into the paste. Autumn Florals

Namaste crafty people! :D Let's welcome the Autumn season with a pretty floral card! I am not really a floral person BUT THIS "Floral wishes" stamp set by Craftyscrappers has made me fallen in love with florals.. i am not kidding :) It is designed very intricately with perfect and crisp detailing!
